Frequently asked questions
Selling or letting in Luxembourg
Another question? Write to us or call +352 621 622 344.
01How much is my property worth?
Request a free online valuation: an agent looks at your property in the light of recent sales in the neighbourhood and sends you a first, indicative valuation. For a detailed appraisal, we visit the property with you, with no obligation.
02How does a sale with Magnor Realty Group work?
Valuation, presentation (professional photos and video), advertising on our website, the property portals and our social media, viewings with qualified buyers, negotiation, the preliminary sale agreement (compromis) and finally signing the deed before the notary. One agent stays your single point of contact from start to finish.
03Which documents do I need to sell a property in Luxembourg?
The title deed, the energy performance certificate (energy passport), the floor plans and, for a flat in a co-owned building, the co-ownership rules, the latest service-charge statements and the minutes of the general meetings. We help you gather anything that is missing.
04How does letting my property work?
We advise you on a rent that suits the market and the legal framework, write the listing, arrange the viewings, check the applicants’ files and show them to you side by side in your owner portal. Once you have chosen the tenant, we prepare the lease.
05Who pays the agency fee for a letting?
Since the reform of residential leases came into force on 1 August 2024, the agency fee is shared equally between the landlord and the tenant.
06What is the owner portal?
A secure online portal, in English and French, where owners who entrust us with letting their property follow the visits, the agent’s feedback, the applicants’ files and the side-by-side comparison, then find the signed documents and the photos. Access is by invitation.
07Which languages do you work in?
English, French, German and Luxembourgish. This website and the owner portal are available in English and French.
